And Now Presenting...

I recently discovered who David Garrett was through a friend who knew of my love for violinist. I was speaking to her one day about this and she asked if I had ever heard of David Garrett. I told her no, and I immediately went home to research him, and fell in love.

David has been playing the violin since he was 4 years old, making him a child prodigy. After years of playing, David eventually went to Juilliard. Since then, David has gone on to record several albums that have become very successful in Europe. His first American CD "David Garrett" was released this summer.

I recently went to David's concert and it was amazing. David likes to play contemporary music which makes his concerts so much more fun. Some examples of the songs he plays are the theme to Pirates of the Caribbean, "Smooth Criminal" by Michael Jackson, and "Thunderstruck" by AC/DC. But he does stays true to the violins classical roots by playing songs such as "Air" by Johann Sebastian Bach and "Summer" by Antonio Vivaldi.

The concert was amazing, and so was David. He played beautifully and I loved every minute of it! I now leave you with some of his songs. Maybe you will also fall in love with David Garrett? Enjoy!
